Tokiyuki Hojo

Asaki Yuikawa / Abby Trott

Tokiyuki Hojo is the son of Takatoki Hojo, who is the regent of the Kamakura shogunate.
With a kind personality and heart, Tokiyuki is not interested in status or power. Instead, he wishes for the peace of Kamakura more than anyone else around him.
Inept at fighting, Tokiyuki is quite adept at running away and hiding – fully grown adults can’t catch him so easily.
He loses everything when his trusted ally and warrior, Takauji Ashikaga, betrays him and seizes control of Kamakura for himself, leaving Tokiyuki with a single purpose: to reclaim his cherished home, Kamakura, back.

Shizuku

Hinaki Yano / Courtney Chu

Shizuku, a shrine maiden at the Suwa Grand Shrine, is driven by a single goal: to restore Kamakura to its rightful leader, Tokiyuki.
She is an excellent servant for the Tokiyuki group of retainers, the Elusive Warriors.
Always acting in good conduct, Shizuku takes care of all the general affairs at home and calls Yorishige “Father,” but sometimes her speech and conduct can shock and surprise the people around her.
She can also use the secret arts to control the holy power, but it is not to the level Yorishige can.
Shizuku offers combat service support during fights as her insights prove to be useful and acts as Yorishige’s representative.

Kojiro

Mari Hino / Jeannie Tirado

Kojiro is an Elusive Warrior swordsman full of vitality whose skills match those of any grown-up.
He fears nothing, and during battles, he’ll always observe and analyze his surroundings—all the while taking care of and encouraging his friends.
He’s good friends with Tokiyuki but always pays homage to him as his lord.
While the Elusive Warriors is a group full of strong, individual personalities, Kojiro is comparatively calmer and sensible, making him the straight man in a bunch of comedic individuals.

Ayako

Sayumi Suzushiro / Brittany Cox

Ayako is a naive yet physically strong girl of the Elusive Warriors.
Although she usually takes care of Tokiyuki and trains him in martial arts, she has a habit of spoiling him a bit.
Still, Ayako admires strong women who can protect and support their lords.
She and Kojiro spend their days in a friendly rivalry, but on the battlefield – their breaths are in sync.
She seems to have acquired skills in multicolored performing arts such as music and dance.

Genba Kazama

Aoi Yuki / Kaitlyn Robrock

Genba’s a thief and a member of the Elusive Warriors who’s quite good at collecting information.
The fox mask he wears allows him to shape-shift into anything he desires.
Before he joined the Elusive Warriors, he was infamous for being a thief, even in the Suwa area.
His past experience makes him believe that money is the most important thing in the world.
He’ll even have the audacity to offer exorbitant retainer fees for his services, and he won’t hesitate to take dirty revenge on people who won’t pay him his dues.

Fubuki

Fubuki’s the resident strategist for the Elusive Warriors – he’s always calm, collected, and well-versed in many military strategies.
He’s able to ascertain his enemies and the situation in an instant and strategize the appropriate tactics to use for a fight.
His combat skills are great enough to take on multiple enemies at once. Fubuki is also quite good at teaching people.
Although it may look like he doesn’t have any weaknesses, he’s an unusually big eater and will finish off any food that’s there by himself.

Yorishige Suwa

The high priest of Suwa Grand Shrine in Shinano province.
Yorishige is both human and god, called Arahitogami, and commands a tremendous amount of creed from the people.
He’s able to control the holy power and see the future… Although the future he sees tends to be blurry and unclear – making them questionable visions of the future.
As Kamakura falls, he rescues Tokiyuki and shelters him in Suwa.
He sees Tokiyuki’s unique ability to run away and hide as a gift and makes him undergo strict training to take back Kamakura for his family. Meanwhile, Yorishige’s anxious for Tokiyuki and hopes nothing bad happens to the boy...

Takauji Ashikaga

Hailing from a noble warrior family, Takauji Ashikaga is the central pillar of his family and is a great hero with the right pedigree of volar, breed, lineage, and fame.
He’s able to charm people with his powerful, charismatic personality and overwhelming military might.
He acted as a guardian for the Kamakura shogunate, and Tokiyuki also trusted and admired him...
Nobody knows the truth of what lies behind his quiet and modest façade.

Sadamune Ogasawara

After the downfall of the Kamakura shogunate, Emperor Godaigo appointed military commander Sadamune Ogasawara as the new governor of Shinano province.
Sadamune possesses powerful vision and observing eyes, making him a master with the bow and arrow as he uses these gifts to his advantage.
He's also a quick and decisive thinker on the battlefield.

Moritaka Suwa

A priest at Suwa Grand Shrine.
He's the king of commentary as he's quite knowledgeable and explains all sorts of things in detail.

Sukefusa Ichikawa

Sukefusa is an assistant to the governor of Shinano.
He can pick up and hear far-away sounds, possessing a superior sense of hearing. Adept at calmly analyzing situations as they arise, he’s also a highly skilled military commander. However, he sometimes can be casual with the language he uses with Sadamune.

Shokan

Touchi Hiroki

Shokan is a warrior who is feared as a villain.
He spearheads a group of villains like himself, known as the “Seigi Party,” obeying Sadamune’s commands, and blocks Tokiyuki’s path at the Nakayama Manor to steal Suwa’s territory.
